April Jam Session- Back to the Lanes

Please join us this Friday night April 24th at the Greenhills Lanes for the April Jam Session

Spring is announced with several traditions such as the sound of an aluminum bat ringing after a baseline hit, Artie's bike humming down Junedale, and guitars tuning up at the Lanes. This should be a nice "opener" with some of your old favorites and a new twist in the Feature Slot. Dave and the gang are happy to serve everyone brews and burgers so clear the date on the calendar and support the locals!

MAYFEST 2009, Rides, Games, Food, Drinks, Music

Come on out and celebrate “village style” as we usher out spring and capture the onset of summer behind the shopping center in “old school” pioneer fashion.
This year, in cooperation with Kissel Brothers Amusement, we will be setting up a carnival just like it was "back in the day"

Memorial Day Weekend Saturday May 23rd, Festivities will start at noon and continue until 11pm with a fun packed afternoon and evening. This coincides with the opening of the pool. We will return on Sunday at Noon and continue our summer celebration till 9:00

Scheduled activities:
Saturday May 23rd12-5:00PM Take to the Pioneer Trail for the 2nd annual Great Green Goose Chase.A FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT!!!! A great challenge as well as a Great opportunity to show the kids a little Pioneer History. We plan on stepping it up this year as villagers attempt to take the Great Green Goose trophy from Christine McDaniel. Be ready for anything! More details to follow
6:00PM-10:00, (maybe 11:00 PM) Live MusicAgain we are going to be trying some new things here, so stay tuned as Supa and Stroker Ace Productions put together something special

Sunday May 24th12:00 Pioneer Burger Contest, Stew27 and Phro will be defending their Titles from 2008. We are interviewing some new candidates to sit on our Judge's panel, and we also expect some to return from last year.12:00 rides and game booths opens.2:00-9:00 We plan on firing up the music once again, just maybe a little more geared towards a Sunday after-church audience. (you won't find Creeper playing at this time)

These plans will evolve as we approach the Memorial day weekend. Stay tuned to Junedale.com for the updates as they happen.

And please don't forget the Memorial Day Ceremony on the commons Monday Morning. The great veterans from the Legion work hard every year to make sure that we remember those who gave their lives so we may enjoy the freedoms that many of us seem to take for granted. There was great crowd last year and even some free food and bottled water. It's really a must-see, especially for the kids.
