It's that time again folks!!! Time to roll out the 5th annual Christmas Gift Drive, now known as the Pioneer Polar Express. My informal calculations say that the good people of this community will have raised over $15,000.00 to help families in and around Greenhills after we complete this year
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, I will do my best to briefly explain it again
The very generous people of this community donate money in $25 "shares".
The GCSO matches those contributions (up to $2000). Needy families right here in our community have been identified for us. Each family is assigned a team captain who will manage the process from collecting the $$ all the way through to delivering the gifts directly to the families. We will be wrapping the gifts on 12/18 at the Legion Hall prior to our Christmas Party
All the team captains from last year will now be asked to find their own replacements. This has served us well in expanding the number of people involved.
Thank you all for your generosity, and Merry Christmas!!!!
Feel free to sign up right here on this thread. If you would like to let me know what I should bring to your village on Christmas eve, you can let me know that as well.
thanks again and hohohohohohohohoho!!!!!!!

2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Party @Molloy's, Saturday, March 13th

- You will not find another town in the US on March 13th that will be hosting a St Pats Party "for the community" put on by volunteers, 7 acts for free, and the hall being donated by the owner who otherwise could rent it out but has decided to help. Come on out and support the community and local musicians while having a beverage and a bite with your friends. If you don't have a sitter for the kids, bring them along too so that they can witness community support and keep the torch lit for years to come
